D2 is suspenseful and the final reveal gives you the kick. But for me D1 from start to end was a banger, something original, a novel attempt. So I will rate D1 > D2 > D3. D3 is a good attempt with some issues. That being said if D2 was released in theaters it would have been an Industry Hit.
