@LaSalleEd For the first time in 10 years its a MathsConf which is walking distance from my house so I've submitted a workshop again which will be my seventh time presenting. See you there
@Sheena2907 i think + before - is good practice because it'll reduce potential pupil's errors in evaluations ... don't want them straying below zero if they can help it ... and divide before multiply perhaps originates from ... say you're finding of ¾ a value youd divide by 4 then times by 3
@cassiebuchanann@TPScheme essential? if this is the case please fix your update details screen and allow me to add my Title "Mr" - Matthew Dunbar 9954227 ... TIA
@TPScheme sadly cannot get past the screen asking me to update my details and give my title as "Mr." because this drop down menu isnt working - please fix this ASAP
@mathsplanner i would encourage pupils to clearly show they have expanded brackets and collecting like terms i.e. x terms on right side and values on left side as shown in my image
@RachelRileyRR instantly knew 572 is divisible by 11
891, 385, 462, 253 also are
Prove 3-digit integer abc is divisible by 11 if b=a+c
the integer's value is
100a+10b+c
100a + 10(a+c) + c
100a + 10a + 10c + c
110a + 11c
11(10a + c)
hence 3-digit integer abc is divisible by 11
