#MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
Since 1949, the month of May has been observed as Mental Health Awareness Month. For these past 76 years, the US has slowly moved toward a healthier outlook and attitudes regarding mental health, and this month serves as a reminder of how much further we can go!
MA CEAL recognizes this time as a chance to highlight the journeys and successes of those who are experiencing mental health struggles and the resources that can provide support.
Visit https://t.co/1WrgHjWAwR to learn more about this month and how you can join in the celebration and appreciation of these cultures! #AAPIHeritageMonth
The month of May is a time to celebrate the Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian experience and their contributions to American history, culture, and advancements in health care.
But alongside that, we want to share some helplines and programs that are built to combat the rates of sexual violence. Swipe to the last page for QR codes to a list of help and information resources.

One of the most important aspects of Sexual Assault Awareness is staying informed on facts and resources. The National Sexual Violence Resource Center shares data collected from the past few decades and shows statistics in America’s current day culture and society.
If you need assistance, call SafeLink, a 24/7 statewide domestic violence and sexual assault referral hotline, at 1-877-785-2020.
The Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance offers free resources for victims, survivors and providers at 844-878-MOVA or https://t.co/gfJ8xU9HqL.
The month of April holds space for the important topic of sexual assault awareness and the widespread struggles of sexual abuse in our society. It is a yearly reminder of how much we need to progress on this issue but also gives us a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come.
April is Autism Awareness Month! This is a time to increase our knowledge and education of those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and provide resources for anyone seeking support. Let’s bring kindness, empathy, and inclusion to this month of April and after.
As March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month, it is a great time to increase our own awareness about this issue. We want to share some examples of developmental disabilities; what they are, common risk factors, different types, and how we can increase our understanding.
Every country, every family, every woman leads a different path and tells their own stories of women's history, but this month and this day are meant to acknowledge the community and solidarity that we all share. +
The disparities that persist among women in different countries across the globe, such as lack of housing, limited medical resources, wide ranges of poverty, among many others consistently affect their access to care. +
We at MA-CEAL believe it is more important than ever to lift the women around us and learn about those who brought us to the progression we see today.
#WomensHistoryMonth
Every March, we celebrate Women’s History Month. It gives us a chance to shout out the vast array of contributions women have made as public health leaders in decades past and going into the future. +
