@realerikjanthes@alanthefisher And It seems that a lot of Americans like chaos and mayhem...and then get all surprised when chaos and mayhem come a-knocking on our door. "Why do they hate us?"
@realerikjanthes@alanthefisher Meaning that foreign countries are competing with US consumers for US oil to make up shortfalls in the global oil market. We aren't the leading oil exporter because we are producing more oil...it'sbecause we have created chaos and mayhem where 30% of the oil is produced
@EmpireEnjoyer3@IterIntellectus Affording an education to girls and young women is "nonsense"....that is pure ridiculousness. Besides young women do not owe anyone their "fertile years".
@GOP_is_Gutless Windex is an SC Johnson brand...SC Johnson is based in Racine, WI.
Which is not in Chicago...or Illinois
Besides, real Chicagoans use Sparkle (the purple stuff).
@DFrissard62701@IterIntellectus@elonmusk Meanwhile, American school boards are wondering whether American students should br required to take algebra, geometry and trig...never mind calculus. Then we wonder why we need to import talent.
@wittmer0313@NoellaRoseVox@MrTimeAttack@IterIntellectus@elonmusk This seems like a productive discussion...π€£
Look, Andrew, maybe listen to the woman. As far as the image you shared, you realize that isn't real....that's nothing what real family life looks like. So why spread BS?
@AngelaBelcamino Because polls and prediction markets work VERY differently...they are measuring different things, asking different questions, and drawing from different groups of people.
@publicpolicyman My take is that area depended on out-of-town visitors...specifically convention business. For a lot of reasons, Chicago has declined as a convention destination. Rainforest, and Hard Rock were garbage national chains and failed.
@NerdHerder9001@Megamom1985 How do you figure?
"Serious mental problems"...?
I have known more than a few child-free couples. Friends, co-workers, family. Some were childless by choice. For some having kids didn't work out. They seemed as well adjusted as anyone.
@notnympharumma1@Megamom1985 Choosing a child-free wedding reception doesn't mean the couple isn't planning to have children...it just means no kids at the reception. So much depends on the venue, age of attendees, and how loud, boozy and late into the night it's going to go.
@barelyparental@Megamom1985 Depends a lot on what the couple plans. When I got married, we planned a mid-morning ceremony with a reception brunch, so it wasn't a boozy affair...champagne toast inside and a few growlers of beer outside where we had lawn games available. But not everyone wants that.
