It is very sad to see the last remaining glaciers in West Papua now beginning to disappear because of the mining activities of companies like Freeport-McMoRan and Rio Tinto, working together with the government and military who are illegally occupying our country and destroying our ancestral land.
These glaciers are part of our land, our environment, and our history. Their disappearance is not only a warning about climate change, but also a reminder of the environmental destruction taking place in West Papua.
The world must pay attention to the impact that large-scale mining and environmental exploitation are having on the Indigenous people and the natural heritage of West Papua.

Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.

Sec. Hegseth says that was the first message from a downed American pilot in Iran after he finally activated his emergency transponder.
"Shot down on Good Friday, hidden in a cave, a crevice all of Saturday and rescued on Sunday. Flown out of Iran as the sun was rising on Easter Sunday, a pilot reborn all home and accounted for a nation rejoicing."
"God is good" is the message the downed U.S. airman in Iran sent from his emergency transporter after his jet was shot down on Friday, Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth said, and added that "no American lives were lost" in the rescue mission.
"Just ask any Iranian soldier who dared attempt to get anywhere near that pilot before or during that mission," Hegseth said. "Death from above."

For those who aren’t familiar with Punch, he is a baby monkey from Japan who was separated from his mother shortly after birth. Since then, zookeepers have been raising him and hand-feeding him to help him survive.
Because he did not have his mother, they gave him a large stuffed orangutan. Punch treats it like a mother. He sleeps while cuddling it, holds onto it when he feels anxious, and carries it around for comfort.
