During the meeting, I extended a formal invitation to her to grace the hoisting of the Dharmadhwaj for the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027. This marks an important milestone in the preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

He told me that he had a video of some BJP members allegedly claiming that Uday Samant and Shambhuraj Desai had taken money from Shinde Saheb and sided with the BJP. I told him that nothing of the sort had happened and asked him to send me the video so that I could hold a press conference today itself and bring the truth to light. However, at today’s rally, he alleged that Eknath Shinde Saheb had taken ₹500 crore from the BJP and demanded that he clarify the matter. I also believe that the decisions taken by Eknath Shinde during his tenure as Chief Minister and by Devendra Fadnavis during his tenure as Chief Minister were among the most significant decisions taken for the Maratha community in Maharashtra’s history, and these decisions were also implemented. Therefore, I cannot help but sense a political motive behind each of his statements.''

VIDEO | Hyderabad, Telangana: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh undertakes final sortie with his former instructor, retired Wing Commander V S Kochar, at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal. Singh says, "It was really a dream come true. I started my journey with the same aircraft. I think I must be the only Chief who is retiring while the basic aircraft he flew is still serving. I am very grateful to my instructor, Wing Commander Kochar, who taught me flying in the beginning at this very place. I just wanted the circle to be complete. I did my first sortie on January 28, 1984, at this very place with him in a Kiran aircraft, and today, I did my last sortie in uniform with him in the same Kiran aircraft."

Retired Wing Commander V S Kochar says, "He was the brightest pupil ever. My dream has also come true to get one more trip. I am 73 now, so getting another trip with him is special. He is the best person ever in this world."

Every Day, This Couple Travels 54 KM To Water The Saplings They Planted!

Ramesh Kharmane, a forest guard from Dhamankhel village in Junnar taluka, Maharashtra, and his wife are setting an inspiring example of environmental conservation.

In 2012, Ramesh left his job in the Army and returned home to care for his mother during her treatment. It was during this time that he made a commitment to protect the environment, with his wife supporting him at every step.

Together, they spent 60 consecutive days carrying out around 300 hours of voluntary labour on a hilltop, digging 70 pits by hand to conserve rainwater.

Their work covered an area of approximately 412 metres and aimed to help rainwater seep into the ground and ease the village’s water crisis. Their efforts also earned them a place in the Indian Book of Records.

Even today, the couple continues to plant native saplings, preserve seeds and care for the trees they have planted. Through scorching heat and difficult terrain, they travel 54 KM every day to keep their mission alive.
For them, protecting the environment isn’t a one-day activity. It’s a lifelong commitments.
