This was so frustrating. The worst part is the huge light burst when you hit the ball, so after looking at it for a long time it starts hurting your eyes. Eventually I started looking at the shadow below, but even that is tough.
These peep hole segments are cute too. Bet they were even better in 3D. Can definitely tell this was designed for 3D for depth accuracy originally, so not having it here hurts this version. Honestly hard to recommend unless you really love this series and want more after 1 and 3.
For my birthday this year, girlfriend got me this, so been finally playing it for the first time. Kinda crazy how much of a step down this one is from the original, especially how awful the controls are, but still enjoying it for the Spooktober vibes. Also, this jam is too good!
There's lots of people to talk to and game events happening in real time as you live through a summer vacation in the Japanese countryside. You can kind of decide what to do when and from where, so here I've found a nice spot to fish from while watching some test fireworks.
For my "vacation" I've been enjoying this cozy game full of Summer vibes called Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid that recently got localized with an English translation.
Legitimately felt like I was going to throw up when I beat that, so I'm taking a nice vacation from this game right now. Will get back to it eventually of course. Still two Chapters to go. Hopefully the worst is behind me now.
Had a really good run tonight and got the lad unlocked. Bear Traps and Smoke Bombs shut the boss down hard, so he couldn't buff his dudes or smack us while we whaled on him.
Finally beat the absolute terror of this game. Legitimately been stuck on this boss since early access, and as you can see even this run wasn't a clean run, because I accidentally killed my tank blocking an extra hit for my healer that I didn't need to.
