From the #Epstein files to Putin: our #PRethics team found a disturbing web. A major PR conglomerate in Epstein's orbit also lobbied for Putin—using a law firm that now represents a major U.S. PR trade association. 🧵 1/2
One of the world's largest #PR conglomerates was named in the #Epstein files. Not in a single passing reference, but in multiple mentions. Does that make the board members complicit? Not necessarily. But it does make the conglomerate's silence harder to explain. #PRethics
Europe claims that its lawsuit against X over bluechecks is about consumer deception: that if the ☑️ merely means “user paid,” the platform should not suggest some other imprimatur. But a key force at play, here, is foreign governments’ desire to control who commands credibility, even on American platforms.
Critical step by @SecScottBessent. “Reputational risk” for financial institutions used to mean a reputation for solvency, safety, and soundness — you don’t want a run on the bank. But corporate “reputations” for ESG/DEI were later smuggled in, abetting debanking. No longer.
I see that @UF’s lawyers have put together a fine crock of legalese that does absolutely NOTHING to answer the questions the people are asking about this candidate search.
The multimillion-dollar amount, lack of transparency, and lopsided process here ALL still speak for themselves. Not to mention that this all appears to be a sham since the school is acting as if the new presidency is a foregone conclusion.
Think of how many student scholarships could have been paid for with that salary money.
We’re talking about public funds and, more importantly, public trust. Both demand a high level of accountability, which simply hasn’t been satisfied at all by this so-called “response”. The questions raised still stand, and they NEED to be answered.
@UF@EDSecMcMahon Pls check your records at @UFJSchool, @UF. They are rife with PR trade assoc @PRSA's + @Omnicom's "doubling down on #DEI" agenda. PRSA infiltrated UF's PR program years ago w/ DEI strong-arming in violation of #antitrust (like hinging #ACEJMC accreditation on DEI "compliance").

#PRSA Chair @HPHarrell has issued another member letter re: the PR trade association's financial crisis -- this time, warning that "member behavior" is being "examined"... implying it's *members* who are @PRSA's real problem here.

Recovering from #gaslighting isn’t simple and it takes time.
An abusive #culture doesn’t just harm in the moment; it trains your brain to protect itself, sometimes in ways that make it harder to feel safe, focus, or #trust again.

In 1974, when I was 34, I won the Republican nomination for governor of Tennessee. I lost the general election because voters were mad at Republicans about Watergate and because people said I was a “stuffed shirt.” So, when I wanted to run again four years later, my wife, Honey, said, “Wait a minute. First, I want to know 𝘸𝘩𝘺 you're running. What do you hope to accomplish? And second, could we have a different sort of campaign?” So we talked about it with some other people, and she said, "Well, why doesn't Lamar just do what he likes to do? He likes music, he likes to walk, he likes to meet people, he likes the outdoors." And then she said, "Why don't you just walk across the state?" And you don't walk across the state in a blue suit. So she and I went down to Friedman's Army Surplus Store on Hillsboro Avenue in Nashville, and we bought all the red-and-black plaid shirts they had. We added it to the two I already had, and I wore one of those shirts every day on my 1,022-mile walk across the state.
I did my best to shake hands with 1,000 people every day and spent the night with 73 families, most of whom I had not known before. I sank deep into the music, stories, and character of our state. I saw firsthand that Tennessee was third from the bottom in family incomes, there was little interest in bettering the education system, and the "anything is possible" spirit I grew up with in Maryville was not prevalent in the community.
The SPLC raises millions in charitable donations every year, while allegedly paying members and leaders within the very groups it purports to fight.
SPLC appears to be running a deceptive organization that pays informants to manufacture racism on its behalf. If these allegations are true, there will be consequences.

Today, the Task Force to Eradicate Christian Bias published a report detailing how numerous Biden Administration prosecutions, policies, and practices demonstrated anti-Christian bias throughout the federal government.
.@USTreasury will continue to utilize its authority to end the weaponization of government in accordance with @POTUS’ executive order, and work closely with @TheJusticeDept to ensure that we apply the law fairly and consistently and protect the rights of all Americans to freely practice their faith without government interference.
#Gaslighting at work doesn’t stay at work.
For those who’ve lived it, it’s not just frustrating meetings or being dismissed. It follows you. You start second-guessing yourself, your focus slips and anxiety shows up in places it never used to.
