Kubernetes is not a solution. It's a trade-off.

You trade:

- Direct debugging for kubectl exec gymnastics
- Clear errors for CrashLoopBackOff mysteries
- Fast onboarding for 3-month learning curves
- Operational simplicity for orchestration complexity

And what do you get?

The ability to run the same workload you could've run on 3 EC2 instances.

But now it takes a team of 5 and costs 10x more.

K8s doesn't reduce complexity. It just moves it from your app to your platform.
