@Mzansiawake Use your brain, he meant there was no one in the shack how can a shack be empty yet the 15 year old hid under the bed? How would they steal in a empty shack? Common sense tells you that.
Make this trend people! 🇿🇦

If treasury can find money to bailout failing SOE's, and if the can fund a case at the @CIJ_ICJ, and they can use taxpayers money for frivolous lawsuits and they can keep funding failed projects where money has been looted over and over, then they can find the money to investigate corruption so that South Africa can finally get justice. Money from the proceeds of crime should be used. The Madlanga commission has produced more results than most commissions have, and in a commendable period of time. The ANC has postponed the justice we are still awaiting in the Zondo Commission, and now the president wants to halt the Madlanga proceedings because a can of worms has been opened, and people are being held accountable.

@brettherron Mt question is how are they going to handle deliberations at the end whereby they have to decide on implications especially when it comes to her. Is she going to also going decide her fate? Talk about being a referee and a player at the sametime, what a joke this is😒
@verashni Take a break, pray about and seek guidance from the Holy Spirit , most of these pastors are honestly very far from understanding interpretation of scriptures cos it's not illuminated to them. They speak about revelation yet the scripture is the revelation and God's word to us.
@MediaZaban865 It was disheartening listening to them asking him what they should do yet they are the ones who has to know better, forgetting that Mkhwanazi is just an enforcer of the law they should make themselves. It was embarrassing to listen to them dragging him into politics.
Spot on...any logical person would not even ask questions those MPs ask at times. If pronouncements were made against these ppl we wouldn't have sittings like the one they sit on to probe the allegations.
Let me bore you with a long version explanation of what @KhuselaS and the ANC are missing :
What we are seeing is a performance meant to impress her party. She is deliberately blurring the line between being influenced by cartels and being a member of a cartel.
What is actually being established by committee & commission is the dangers and LEVEL of influence cartels and external actors have on Minister Mchunu’s decision-making. That is the real issue.‼️
The country is on a journey to explain why the following things happened:
1. Why Mchunu disbanded the PKTT based on external advice while he has internal advice through his police generals? He didn't even ask for status reports or convene IMC but easily listened to Fadiel, Patricia, deHaas, his office even pressured IDAC to act on Fadiel's complaint. Whose interest is it that's hiding behind these people pushing for disbandment or Khumalo's arrest just as he unsettle the cartels on 6 Dec. What is Mchunu's interest in getting the generals hounded by IDAC?
2. Why Mchunu's errant associates/comrades, some of whom are friends with cartel member Matlala, already knew what decisions were coming before SAPS leadership did. (A linkage right there).
In short, why decisions about policing were being shaped outside SAPS, instead of coming from the professionals who actually manage the institution? Thus turning the police leaders into statues.
That pattern shows that Mchunu relied on external advice, while failing to consult or listen to the senior generals employed by the state to advise him. That is the concern.
I honestly don’t understand why Khusela struggles to grasp why external influence is wrong, because she is clearly intelligent. This is not complicated.
The state employs senior SAPS generals precisely to give advice, assess risks and help shape decisions.
When a new minister bypasses them and instead listens more to outsiders who harbour ulterior motives, it creates chaos, confusion and weakens the institution, like it weakened the PKTT and caused tremendous harm to all stakeholders.
Even MP Sokhanyile understands this point 🥱
So what the generals are reporting as a concern is very clear:
1️⃣ Uninvited and harmful influence entering their workspace because of a weak minister, yet later when things go wrong, those same police generals must account for decisions they had no input into.
2️⃣ Outsiders and social media knowing about major decisions (like disbandments) BEFORE SAPS leadership is informed. That alone proves the ripple effects of external influence on Mchunu.
Those ripple effects include: protecting cartels who had just been raided in the same month allowing disruptive characters to create confusion by leaking SAPS documents before consultations, destabilising SAPS from the outside.
This influence has to be stopped.‼️ That is the core issue.
This is NOT about claiming that Mchunu himself is a cartel member nkosyami😩
Even the Terms of Reference of the Ad Hoc Committee, where Khusela sits, are very clear: the committee is meant to probe the influence of unscrupulous elements in the work of the police.
But now Khusela wants to shift the focus from INFLUENCE to MEMBERSHIP, which is not what the TORs say. That shows she either does not understand, or is deliberately misrepresenting, the mandate of her own committee.
So on the INFLUENCE part, we have enough linkage evidence but on the MEMBERSHIP front, nobody ever said that, hence Khumalo told Khusela and Sauls that the messages are NOT meant to prove membership or guilt of corruption. And as for the guilt part, wena Sauls, you are crazy if you think Gen Khumalo was going to pronounce on someone's guilt as if he is a court of law. Why doesn't the committee do its further work of investigating & establishing the "guilty" part? Kanti why did the generals go request structures to be set up on 6 July to probe if they were ready to judge and pronounce, then what will the Committee's duty be?
So exhausting😐
Why do some MPs struggle with this very basic principle that:
If we already had judgments on who is guilty or corrupt, we would not need commissions, committees, or courts.
All we have at this stage are ongoing investigations that were also blocked by the arrest of Gen Khumalo by the very suspects he is trying to chase.
So we have allegations and allegations must be tested, investigated by Parliament and proven before anyone makes final pronouncements. Angithi the police generals are saying it has beeb hard to work due to their space being taken over by elements that block progress, that is police generals are taking turns coming to you Parliamentarians so that you can assist them in blowing the lid open.
So to sit in Parliament and ask a police general, “Is so-and-so corrupt?” "Where is the smoking gun" is not just ignorant, it is dangerously inconsiderate.
That kind of thinking will burn this country one day. You want the general to leave that committee looking like someone who ducked and dived answering questions, in the public eye.
Parliamentary committees are not gossip sessions.
They are constitutionally empowered bodies meant to probe, investigate further what is said, verify facts and then produce reports with findings and recommendations on how to fix and safeguard institutions like SAPS, the Judiciary, and the state as a whole.
Instead, some MPs want the police general to do their work, then bese benzani bona as Parliament?
What exactly will be their role if they can't even take forward what has been said and GO INVESTIGATE phela or file urgent subpoenas?
They get told about O'Sullivan, they do nothing about it, until he is gone off to London, then they act peeved.
They are told about Matlala's deep pockets where Sibiya & others dip for upkeep, they do no forensic investigation to verify or dispel Masemola/Mkhwanazi/Khumalo allegations.
Instead they ask the same police generals "is so and so corrupt". That is for you to probe njena.😭 Isn't that your part na?
This Adhoc committee's time is almost up yet they have not priduced ONE piece of fact that they have independently verified to be true or an untruth.
One of them asked: "So general are you saying Adv Johnson lied here under oath," 🤣🤣🤣 Bagaetso, why must it be Gen Khumalo that utters and spells that out if he has given you details on the sequence of events and attached annexures on the untruths by Johnson? Nifuna enzeni uJenene?
Should it not be Parliament that determines that part of whether this Johnson lied because she did not even produce any documents as her proof?
Maye!🙆🏿♀️
@MediaZaban865 Sadly those are the ppl who are suppose to be our legislators yet clueless most of the time. It's infuriating honestly and we have to swallow it as citizens. I wonder if they even know their terms of reference for that committee sometimes.
@MDNnewss I believe one of the reasons why we have that committee and madlanga commission as well as investigation is to determine exactly that. If he was charged and was determined we would be here. This is a very silly question even for you to even post it as if it's news
@InsideOutNews_ I always wonder if this woman thinks before she speaks. Lack of morals, leadership and tact. Most of her utterances are very inhumane to say the least.
