@amyklobuchar Imagine if so many Senate Democrats didn’t green light so many Cabinet nominees and if they focused on opposing fa$cism instead of declaring this a problem of ICE/DHS “training”? Do you think the problem in WWII internment camps was a matter of poor training?
This spot is likely covered in snow today, but this photo shows a warm summer day in Big Bend, Placer County. Believe it or not, that's the Lincoln Highway (1913-1927)passing between the building and the large rock at left. I find it so amazing that about 110 years ago, this was the main route for transcontinental traffic headed into California. The road was rerouted away from here in 1927, and this spot became a footnote in California History.
@VanessaKade Made an increasingly rare excursion into the cesspool formerly known as Twitter and arrived to see this. I’ll probably check back down the road to see where you end up because I’m a fan of your ethics and your content. Enjoy your break!
@aegeanairlines Your iPhone app is frustrating. When I open the app (which I’ve updated), I’m directed to upgrade the app 🤦♂️. Then it bounces me to App Store, where the “open” button is indicated. Only after that does the functional app open. Can you please debug your app?
Many don’t realize that the first people Hitler sent to his concentration camps weren’t everyday Jewish citizens, but his political opponents. So, when Trump rants about retribution, locking up his opponents, and giving them “very long sentences,” I can’t help but take him seriously… because history teaches us that is what fascist dictators do during their “Day One” period to consolidate their power. (After all, if you’re hellbent on staying in power but aren’t likely to win the next election, you can’t have your political opponents running around free.)
To keep fascism out of our lives, vote for democracy!
