Fast tracking nurses and doctors to ICU so they can manage COVID cases is like fast tracking pilots during a flight through a storm. It takes years to make an ICU nurse and doc.
Surviving Sepsis Campaign successfully saved lives by decreasing the under-treatment of a deadly disease/syndrome.
Unfortunately, we have yet to recognize fully that over-treatment can be just as deadly.

I do think/hope this is becoming something of a generational divide. That said, it is still very true and will be for a long time.
We need to learn not to micro-manage people.
