@ShaunLintern@mndassoc Really sorry to hear that Shaun. I’m glad to hear that your mum’s spirits are good and that you’ve all been getting some good support from a fantastic charity.
Why the ‘broken’ mantra really matters. Me for @incisivehealth on why @wesstreeting is starting an argument with the NHS about the need for change https://t.co/gZL6I4G2F3
I wouldn’t be cautious about ruling out stuff that runs completely counter to your values. Yes, we need a fresh look and yes we need to be clear and transparent about the mess the NHS is in, but that doesn’t mean abandoning core beliefs or indeed the purpose of the NHS
I’d be cautious about ruling stuff out this early. Notwithstanding merits of the issue, before you’re noticed you’re up the same claustrophobic cul-de-sac of policy overcommitment as your predecessor. I’d avoid the dopamine hit of “unequivocal”, and reserve judgement for a bit.
Kinnock at Health will be interesting. Certainly seen as an articulate, competent technocrat.
The return of @karinsmyth is good news. I hope she has the portfolio for NHS reform, as in opposition.
This is a massive job. Constitution (so presumably Lords reform and devolution stuff) and relations with EU (intriguing that this brief isn’t in Foreign Office)
Today we are seeing a lot of very dignified statements from people who must feel very bruised and disappointed. ⬇️ is a case on point. Well done @ShamaTatler - you’ll be back.
According to @LordAshcroft after the vote poll, 75% of Labour voters yesterday expect NHS waiting lists to get shorter. Time to get to work Labour. Voters have high expectations and little patience. https://t.co/8uudOvWHcL
