I wonder what these idiots think Khelif and Lin should have done all their lives? Go to men's changing rooms, toilets, change their names, demand everyone calls them a male, even change their passports? Ironic.
Either you believe that everyone is born either male or female, or you believe that sex isn't a binary characteristic. The 2 female boxers singled out are being singled out by the same people who say "a female is anyone born with a vagina".
@TheChrisStreet Those signs with 50 in them and the flashing lights are not legal speed limits, they are advisory. Legal speed limits have to be in a red circle, as they are on smart motorways.
You're welcome. https://t.co/4RQchYjw4A
@MrHenderson89 I think the rise in crypto and NFT bollocks has been down to this; nobody believes we'll be comfortable in old age so we'd better make bank quick while we're able.
@BeerNouveau Things change so much... I live in Manchester (not town centre, but 2 or 3 miles away), and yet every time I go into town I see new things, or things that were there that are no longer.
@BeerNouveau As everyone becomes a tourist in the city, people will be looking for 'new' experiences. Traditional pubs could do well out of this as people look for authenticity - their USP is their not keeping up with the times. Sadly I see many middle-of-the-road pubs going pop.
@BeerNouveau As 'regular' suburban/small town pubs close down, I see city centre pubs trying to define themselves by other things than beer... 'the pub where they do the best bao buns', 'the pub where you can play a million board games' - gimmicky kind of things.
@jmrbnsn @dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory I mean, a short-lived Bavarian soviet government existed prior to the Nazis coming to power so it was definitely possible. I don't think Hitler had any real problem with nobility per se, but he saw many of them as too conservative. But they weren't enemies like Jews/communists.
@jmrbnsn @dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory As far as I can see the main difference is the nationalism. Nazism emphasised national/racial struggle, and didn't attempt to 'convert' other peoples. Bolshevism saw itself as international, and saw national distinctions as anti-communist.
@OfficialBarside @jon_38dale@officiallydale Lol, and where does that go? Rochdale is the rainiest town in England over 50k people, there's nowhere for the water to go. If it rains hard enough, it's off no matter what.
@BeerNouveau Not being such a faff to get mates together at same time/being more spontaneous rather than being constantly pushed for time.
Think social life has changed massively, so even though beers and pubs have improved, we've got less time to go in them now.
@CapelLofft@carajak@Phillip_Blond The fact that Nazi eugenicists euthanized people with Downs and other afflictions was a result of their flawed understanding of genetics and heritability. Don't equate that with what's happening here.
@CapelLofft@carajak@Phillip_Blond This isn't eugenics. Whatever the moral concerns (and they are massive, and I wouldn't downplay them), this isn't eugenics.
