Thank you for your concern. As you know, Gaddafi and Smart are on the same Masaka file with Eddie Mutwe and Achileo Kivumbi. The charges are ridiculous and clearly politically motivated. You will recall, for instance, that Smart did not even attend the event, where the state claimed they engaged in 'aggravated robbery' of, among others, a green sweater and jumper😡

Although Eddie and Achileo are detained at Luzira Upper, Gaddafi and Smart are at Kitalya, alongside many other comrades. The legal team filed, long ago, a bail application at Masaka, following the first one, which was denied. We have been following up since, but haven't gotten a date up to now for the bail application to be heard. Of course, the trial itself has not commenced because clearly, there is no case. That's the injustice our people continue to experience at the hands of the persecutorial criminal justice system.
