Funding for MIECHV expires in less than a month. MIECHV supports voluntary, evidence-based home visiting programs to ensure critical services and support are provided to pregnant and parenting families. MCC supports the immediate reauthorization and increased budget for MIECHV.

MCC is proud to announce that we are among the ten award winners of the First-Ever Behavioral Health and Innovation Challenge Grant, hosted by @HHSGov and through @samhsagov. For this honor, MCC is grateful to HHS, SAMHSA, and our MOMobile® Rapid Engagement Program (MRE).
Maternity Care Coalition denounces any act or belief that minimizes religious and cultural freedom and the right for any person or community to practice their religion peacefully. @ADL is a resource to support Jewish communities.
Finally, Samia emphasized that "MCC stands with members of City Council in our continued efforts to create a landscape of bold, holistic, and intersectional policy responses to protect our reproductive freedoms."
Today, MCC's Associate Vice President of Programs, Samia Bristow, discusses abortion in the context of maternal and child health. It is one of many reproductive health services that should be safe and accessible to all parenting families. Follow along for Samia's testimony.
"Their research found that Black Women would be most significantly impacted. Unwanted pregnancies are also associated with preterm birth and low birth weight, which are leading causes of infant mortality," testifies Samia.
"MCC believes in an equitable and just future for all families and is committed to challenging the structures that create barriers to equity," notes Samia. "I am honored to speak on behalf of MCC in favor of this package of bills that protect our reproductive rights."
