I was humbled today to help @MontgomeryColl cut the ribbon for the new Catherine & Isiah Leggett Math & Science Building. MC continues to set the bar high for providing world-class education, and our students deserve facilities that reflect that standard.

This building will serve generations of learners, carrying forward the legacy of two remarkable servant leaders. My deepest gratitude goes out to the decision-makers, staff, and community members who helped make this vision a reality.

The Catherine and Isiah Leggett Math and Science Building is officially open!

This $104 million state-of-the-art facility on the @montgomerycoll Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus has 20 labs, a planetarium, a math and science learning center and a greenhouse. The building is geared to educate future engineers, cyber technicians, computer sciences and other STEM-related fields.

The Leggett’s have been pillars of Montgomery County for decades. From Ike’s outstanding service on the Council and as County Executive, to Catherine’s leadership in arts organizations across the region, this building represents the best of our community.

Congratulations to the Leggett’s, the Montgomery College students and staff, and the entire community on the opening of this beautiful building!
