@BrettDavisRIP @RoxburyHS @talliemedel @RoxburyBdofEd Also, this great message and I think it's awesome. I liked replying with a wrestling reference but I worry that may have undermined it too much
Basically all Dan Harmon does these days on Instagram is post his woodworking progress and absolutely flex his writing ability. He shouldn’t be this good at writing about incredibly simple stuff, but he is. I have no idea what he’s talking about, but I’m mesmerized by it.
2008: I am in a basement mosh pit every night routinely getting kicked in the face. I’ve splinters deep in my hands from swinging on the rafters. I drank a gallon of chocolate milk for lunch. None of this hurts me
2020: My whole skeleton aches from that full night’s sleep I got?
This breaks my heart. I truly believe Denny O'Neil is a main reason comics and their characters as a whole are what they are today. He was a pillar in the architecture for almost 35 years across five decades. RIP.
Denny O’Neil made timeless comics by making comics about his time. The revolutions of the 60s, the excesses of the 70s, the corruption of the 80s, the facades of the 90s—he used super hero tropes as brushstrokes to paint a picture of who we are and who we could be. RIP.
Soooo BLM got a week of attention and y’all over it now? Getting those cops charged was only one part to a significantly larger plan. Please don’t stop. Please don’t quit. Keep fighting, keep signing, keep donating
