I think it's more of "CIG is building the fist of its kind, game" - engines are all over with such features. It's the game that is a first of its kind.

And the ship price? I mean, they are independent from publishers, so they gotta pay the bills. I think everyone judging CIG as a scam, are just your typical "CoD players", that are not used to such things (community funded). That and don't understand technical innovation, and how quick a publisher and ruin it (freelancer I believe was supposed to be SC, but Microshit stopped it developing further).
