I definitely think Tottenham need replacements in defence with Romero and dragusin leaving, but why the rush to bring so many defenders in when our biggest squad issue is needing 2 serious wingers and a striker. On top of that a midfielder able to pass forward and control a game.
@RudolphN17 As it is quite a toxic platform most of the time, I don’t tend to get into discussions on threads/football posts. But I do love hearing/sharing all things spurs, most of the time wish I had more people to communicate with, for that reason I’d love to join your group. COYS
@brightonspurs When you look through the names, it becomes incredibly clear why we are where we are. I can’t see any other top 6 club bar chelsea making these signings over and over, even with Chelsea at least they will go and rectify it by spending 100m on players.
@MikeyHotspurs I have a picture that more or less sums it up, each name is the continuous spiral we made for ourselves with mostly terrible recruitment, players used to join to play with Kane/Son now they don’t even want to join so we end up with mediocre level premier league footballers.
@WestHam_Central Don’t think it gives tottenham an uplift or any boost tbh. Usually when you chop and change managers like this it’s a sign of a team that’s going down. I have no confidence at all we stay up even if we win 2 games I think it won’t be enough.
Just predicted the remaining games of the premier league season. Even though it says 17th I now truly believe we’re going down. I gave us 1 win (Leeds at home) and 3 draws (Nottingham, Wolves, Everton) I was being generous with our games and only up on GD. Hope west Ham are shit
The way I know we’re going down regardless of if we’d have won tonight or not.
I almost cried when we went 1-0 up, the fear of relegation is so strong that I was almost begging tottenham not to fuck this up. With 10 games to go the fact I’m feeling like that over 1-0 proves it.
I’m just gonna say it,
We’ve given Archie gray a run in the side rightfully so, but you can see he needs many many more games to develop and it won’t happen playing in this current midfield setup.
Needs a loan or we need some signings to compliment him. Will take a long time.
@TheSpursExpress If van de ven was benched for rotation purposes I understand with the amount of games, other than that this lineup is disgusting no Xavi no Odobert also spence probably should be in for porro.
Gonna be a long night
@_TottenhamTalk_ I agree with that, currently the style is far away from what this clubs identity is.
Going into games against bottom half teams worrying about what they might do to us is cowardly, we have some skilful front footed players and Frank isn’t utilising them properly. Cycle continues
One thing about ange that I always loved:
Regardless of results and performances, he always set the highest standards and batted away the media negativity that has always been associated with us, such as spursy and weak underbelly comments. He always put the club on a pedestal.
🎙️| Thomas Frank on the weight of big expectations at Tottenham:
“You can say there is always a challenge when there are big expectations. No problem with big expectation, if you have also earned the right to really compete for those big expectations, which I think it’s fair to say we haven’t done.
I said it near the start that we have not been able to compete in a cup tournament, Europe and the Premier League in the last six years.”
Watching this to cope. Was some of the best football I’ve watched mixed with some of the worst.
But none is worse than what we’re seeing right now.
I’d take ange back in a heartbeat with this fully fit squad and £200m worth of signings. Even if the results are inconsistent.
