Remembering Tony Durpetti, a beloved friend and true icon in the restaurant industry. His passion and advocacy were only matched by the warmth and love he shared with his family, team and the many guests who felt at home at @Gene_Georgetti. He will be deeply missed.

Old-school Chicago steakhouse serving meat, seafood & Italian specialties in a traditional setting.
My grandfather started going there when the restaurant opened and we have been going there ever since. Tony was the head “Guy” and always took care of the customers and he could be seen putting on an apron and cleaning tables so we could seat people as quickly as possible. He was one of the nicest men I’m sure all is Italian buddies and customers he’s known throughout his tenure will be waiting for him at the Pearly Gates. You will surely be missed Tony!!
Thank you, @EaterChicago. As a lifelong #Chicagoan & 3rd generation owner, I'm honored to be part of the conversation for the #DNC2024 . @Gene_Georgetti is proud to represent our legacy while embracing Chicago's future, since 1941! #GeneAndGeorgetti
