Considering that most of the people that came over to America in boats SURVIVED on barrels of kraut, it might be something to look into. The greatest thing about it was the fact that it didn't spoil because of it's properties.

What MOST people also do not know is that RAW kraut should not be cooked. It will destroy all the good stuff you gut needs for good health.
