We are in Verona speaking with HH Pope Francis! @maozinon and I have a simple message. We need all the help we can to stop the bloodshed and to build a lasting peace in the HolyLand. Over 12,000 people have joined us today.
One of the most meaningful days I've ever had was a private tour my wife and I took in 2016, of a Palestinian refugee camp & the Israel/Palestine separation wall, with @MEJDI_Tours, founded by @AzizAbuSarah. This #TED2024 talk between him & @maozinon should go viral.
In this powerful first talk from #TED2024, Palestinian peacemaker @AzizAbuSarah and Israeli peacemaker @MaozInon speak about their shared tragedies — and their shared hopes for peace. Watch the full conversation here: https://t.co/97CvGAi5Ws
While most divide the world between Israelis and Palestinians, Jews and Muslims, @AzizAbuSarah chooses to divide the world "between those of us who believe in justice peace and equality and those who don't... yet." #TED2024
This week I had the pleasure and honor to meet with a @MEJDI_Tours delegation in Tel Aviv alongside my dear friend and partner in peace, @AzizAbuSarah, CEO of Mejdi Tours. Mejdi is a global leader in socially conscious tourism that strives to promote a more peaceful and interconnected world. As we both unite our efforts for peace and work to develop a broader united coalition, it was a pleasure to see Mejdi’s work up close and I look forward to many more future collaborations between Aziz & me, and between Abraham tours & Mejdi
I was honoured to meet a parliamentary delegation led by @YachadUK at the start of this week, to share my personal story of loss from October 7th.
I must say I never expected to hear our conversation echoed in the British parliament so eloquently by @kitmalthouse who rightly says in a speech this week “…this conflict is making things worse, not better, and the security of the Palestinians is required for the security of Israel into the future.”
I am so grateful for your solidarity and for those who came to hear from Israelis and Palestinians, and use their platforms to fight for peace. This work is so incredibly important.
Our panel “Bridge Building Victories: The Holy Land” is highlighting the realities of such movements in the current context.
Honored to hear from @AzizAbuSarah Rev.Dr. Mae Cannon, Dr. Anthony Limberakis, & Becca Tyvoll of @PeaceCatInt@PCI_DC
It’s important to remember how conversations in person are different from social media debates. On Sunday I joined Kim, an Israeli peacemaker to speak at an event in Chicago. Even when there were disagreements, it was done with respect. Let’s bring this civility to social media.
Just as @kobiskolnick mentions in the interview, the hope is that engaging in tough but civil conversations such as these can begin to move the needle in a positive way.
Kobi Skolnick, who is Israeli, and Aziz Abu Sarah, who is Palestinian, have worked for years leading tours to see their homelands. After the Hamas terror attacks, they began holding events in the US in hopes of fostering understanding. @MarParNews reports

"We need to change the discourse from 'how can we make it safer for one of us' to 'how do we live together in this land where it's safe and free for both of us."
"Nothing is more powerful in breaking stereotypes than meeting the ‘other’ and truly listening to their story."

Mejdi Tours aims to show travelers both sides of conflicts in places like Belfast and Jerusalem. We talked to a co-founder, Aziz Abu Sarah, about the challenges and rewards of ‘dual-narrative’ travel. https://t.co/6zgCxTQcia
Mejdi Tours focuses on both sides of longstanding conflicts in places like Jerusalem and Belfast. By the end of a trip, says co-founder Aziz Abu Sarah, the discussion is usually “What’s the solution?” rather than “You’re doing this wrong or that wrong.” https://t.co/CRL7gODmLB
MEJDI was established to achieve one goal: change the face of tourism through a responsible business model honoring both clients, communities.
