@elle97527@SECNAV Totally agree but agree to disagree this particular type of divorce is a trend among our service members. A few bad apples do set the standard and I refuse to give credibility to a term coined by someone who is not.
@elle97527@SECNAV Let me first commend you for navigating Germany in the ‘90. I am genuinely in awe as I’m still getting lost WITH GPS. 😂 I would argue all divorce is dirty, military (CONUS or OCONUS) and civilian. This particular one is beyond the pale. Thankful she is home with her children.
@elle97527@SECNAV I too have called them out. I’m arguing this is not a term or MO of our service members, enlisted or officer. When did you first hear this term? How many officers do you know *personally* who did this to their spouse?
@elle97527@SECNAV So a few bad apples become all senior service members? It is not a widely used term nor is it common practice among our service members. Nice of you to disparage those who continue to fight for your freedom to speak so poorly of them.
@elle97527@SECNAV Pick any US base and you will find lawyers who specialize in military divorce. Unfortunately, the divorce rate is exceptionally high among our service members. Still doesn’t make “dirty discard” a thing.
@elle97527@SECNAV This really isn’t a “thing.” Have there been some bad apples? Sure. Is this guy one of them? Sounds like it. But absolutely no one is calling it that.
@drdelarocker@SeasideSue1 I have zero tangible evidence your service has done anything to move our society forward. I can only hope. I do, however, know I’m paying for it because you did not. 🤷🏼♀️
@drdelarocker Exactly. You took out a loan you never intended to pay and we, the taxpayers, have no idea what the return on our investment is, if any. You inserted feelings into the conversation. 🤷🏼♀️
@marghie@drdelarocker@jwue_ Oh, goodness! Thank you for the additional information. Let me rephrase the question… So you took out a loan you never intended pay???
@cocozzello@mary_mary4564@roadsidetweets Your first two examples are not an issue anywhere in America. Your last example makes me wonder if you’re in favor of euthanasia too.
@cocozzello@mary_mary4564@roadsidetweets You can argue against facts until you’re blue in the face. The facts are not going to change simply because you do not like them. Education is healthcare. Informed consent is healthcare. Murder is not healthcare. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
@cocozzello@mary_mary4564@roadsidetweets We have already established A) human life begins at conception, B) destruction of human life is murder.
Justifying murder in the name of religion or for any other reason is simply abhorrent.
@cocozzello@mary_mary4564@roadsidetweets Again, every human, no matter cellular age, has the basic fundamental right to life. This does not suggest one has more rights than another but that all have the same right to life.
Religious freedom is not an excuse to break laws. Will you argue for Sharia law under this pretext?
@cocozzello@mary_mary4564@roadsidetweets All humans are clumps of cells, no matter the age. Every human has a basic fundamental right to life, no matter the stage of their cellular make up. Destruction of life is murder.
