@Factoiddd@GlennYoungkin You’re right. It’s $1.8M. I remember when Ralph Northam made us change all the community colleges’s names because *feelings*. Each cost over $1M to make the change. Just plain wasteful. Like the April 21st election: at least $11M spent by state, not to mention the localities.
People don’t like GLP-1 meds because they have a deep rooted bias against those with obesity.
They think obesity is due to sloth and gluttony and lack of discipline when it’s really just due to our environment and biology.
@FitWealthyU It’s not just about losing the weight tho. You can be at goal weight and still reap the benefits of glp1’s like lower inflammation and arthritis plus the other myriad of health benefits besides weight loss
@DrMakaryFDA@MichaelAlbertMD Come on don’t unless you can get @EliLillyandCo to sell tirz for $150 a month don’t take away compounding options from folk. Otherwise, you’re gonna push people to the gray market and then there will be real issues with safety.
@BenBikmanPhD As someone who takes GLP1 I feel like I will always need a low dose microdose. I’ve come off to reset my system and the amount of inflammation that returns is crazy even if appetite and diet are in check.
Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries just criticized Trump for sending in ICE to try to relieve the bottleneck at airports caused by the shutdown. He told CNN's Dana Bash that ICE may "brutalize or in some instances, kill" people at airports...
Weight-loss drugs are becoming a workplace benefit. Eli Lilly just launched a platform designed to help employers offer Zepbound to workers. https://t.co/4rSKXWUXYV
Hey @ElevanceHealth do you think you could work out a deal with @EliLillyandCo for your associates to finally be able to have coverage for Zepbound or nah? You want to keep screwing your own employees?
