Improving the working environment of Black and minority ethnic #Police Officers & Staff. Enhancing quality of service to #London communities. Not monitored 24/7
Progress on race in policing remains word salad, let’s be honest: conversation alone isn’t change.
Resistance from many police SLTs blocked progress, undermining staff, officers, and the communities, policing is meant to serve. Accountability must move beyond goodwill to action!
After 5 years scrutinising the Police Race Action Plan, we're publishing our final report today.
Progress has been made, but it's been uneven, fragile, and far too dependent on individual goodwill rather than structural accountability.

PSD, working from home 2 days a week and bleating to HMICS about having 9 ongoing investigations
Meanwhile Glasgow rape SIOs, same rank, juggling 200 and doing on call!
@HMICS actually bought this PSD bullshit
Research found two thirds of working women between the ages of 40 and 60 with experience of menopausal symptoms said they have had a mostly negative impact on them at work.

Begs the question… who has allowed this exploitation to go unchallenged? Who has held forces to account for failing to consistently apply regulations? Who has statutory responsibility for protecting the rights, pay and working conditions of police officers?
When you point the finger at others, just remember there are pointing back at you!!!

Amazingly PSD bleat that they can’t complete a conduct investigation in under a year because their IOs have up to NINE ongoing enquiries
Meanwhile, in G division PPU….

The dangers of policing in this way
- confirmation bias
- lack of investigative neutrality
- failure to challenge
- risk to fair trial
- exculpatory evidence not followed/disclosed

Congratulations England on securing bronze at the FIFA World Cup – our best finish at a World Cup since 1966. And what a game 🥉
You’ve made the nation proud and inspired millions.
@sherlock_comms@Brick_Cop@Jonathan_Hinder Biggest issue in policing at the minute, cops realising that the dream they were promised is largely just that….the leaving in pursuit of the actual dream
@JGee2099039@Brick_Cop@Jonathan_Hinder Well that was the PFEW’s point. They withdrew, then went to a membership ballot, then ignored that ballot, then submitted evidence without re-engaging. Zero strategy
@JGee2099039@Brick_Cop@Jonathan_Hinder Government didn’t go for a 3.9% award but did go for a fully funded 3.5% which was 1% above their costed recommendation and inline with what chiefs asked for. That tells me they are amenable to movement where there is both good evidence and a credible voice advocating.
Think that’s predominantly a south east issue and to some degree areas with high tourist footfall/second home ownership which drives up house prices. That’s where pay negotiations and awards need to be better targeted and where some of the proposals in the white paper around regionalisation of forces could produce better localised targeted pay.
But, for most of the county, police pay is well above average earnings and cops cannot only afford one home - but as business interest submissions will ateast - can sometimes lend towards two or three.
Part of my point is that currently, the only representative body we have has not made those nuanced points around pay awards. London weighting and South east weighting is outdated and not fit for purpose. Governemt know this and lean into national averages to their advantage. If we want better outcomes, then we need to think and do differently. Continually doing the same thing in the same way will get the same poor results
Unpopular… but the pay isn’t bad, especially when factoring in employee pension contributions. Most people would rather see improvements around working day, demand, support and welfare as reflected on pay and morale survey and leavers interviews.
All those things as well as better pay are achievable once we have a credible representative voice. The one consistent thing holding policing back is @PFEW_HQ
England beat France 6-4 in Bronze World Cup Playoff
Every Black player who wore that shirt this summer was carrying more than a tournament. They were carrying a lineage — this summer, that lineage continued - inspiring the next generation.. 🙂

Slavery is white history. Black history is how we survived it. One tells the story of oppression. The other tells the story of resistance, resilience and humanity. Britain must be honest enough to teach both.
The collective cognitive dissonance within PSD must be quite overwhelming for the poor souls at times.
They want to act with integrity but lack the basic investigative skills to even comply with their own procedures
This results in a ‘the end justifies the means’ attitude
Legendary West Indies Cricketer Sir Garfield Sobers has sadly died, aged 89. Regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time he made his debut for Barbodos at just aged 16 🏏🖤🕊️
The fact that a Chief Inspector in the Met Police is comfortable enough to openly pursue a sexual relationship with an officer under his command (sending her unwanted sexual texts) shows me that absolutely nothing has changed since I left the Met.
