Typically breakthrough medicines don’t even get to patients. Transformative medicines are only transformative to the extent they transform healthcare.

@EricTopol People care about health span. Life span just easier to conceptualize and measure. But yeah it seems most advances in healthcare for the past century was in massively reducing child mortality. Much less progress in longevity or health span.
