@AdrienBoieldieu@jbarro@robfordmancs No. Bath residents don’t want ANOTHER Lidl (one already exists) otherwise there wouldn’t have been so many objections and the democratically elected council would have passed it.
You see how this works right?
@AdrienBoieldieu@Fatboy29563@jbarro@robfordmancs Oh sorry, all the bedwetters were talking ‘growth’?
But for you it’s ‘choice’?
I mean, no-one is stopping them from using the existing Lidl.
Or the Morrisons right next door, or the 2 Sainsburys superstores, Waitrose, Spar, Co-op, M&S or Tescos.
Not enough choice for you?
We have cancelled our X subscription for the following main reasons:
First and foremost, we cannot contribute to an organization that apparently places the interests of an adversary above those of the United States.
Second, despite assurances that a paid subscription would extend reach, it appears we've experienced systematic deboosting over the past few months in favor of the platform's political preferences, conduct that violates its own terms of service.
@Fatboy29563@jbarro@robfordmancs Bath has a Morrison’s, A Lidl, 2 Sainsburys superstores, A Spar, 2 Co-ops, A Tesco, 3 Tesco local and 2 Sainsburys.
Tell me, what choice do you feel you are missing?
President Obama on President Trump: "He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory...so, he's clearly not focused on lowering prices for you."
@K_Niemietz is another bedwetter who thinks 1 extra Lidl (close to an already existing Lidl) in an area with full employment and a £4.5 billion economy with local independent shops, which would be trounced, built on a meadow in an area of outstanding beauty ‘stops growth’
Moron
@_Hels_@BerryMuses@DominicMcGregor@aniobrien There’s a Lidl 5-10 mins away.
Bath doesn’t want or need another Lidl. Especially on a meadow.
It’s already a £4.5 billion economy with 2 universities and full employment.
It is a busy road and close to a thriving beautiful artisan centre of independent shops in Larkhall.
@Quinurum@ryangruber@jbarro We have full employment, a £4.5 billion economy, residential and retail developments, 2 universities (the University of Bath contributes over £500 million locally), healthcare, tourism and hospitality, professional services, and tech/creative sectors.
We already have a Lidl
@Quinurum@ryangruber@jbarro I hate to break it to you, but it was decided by a vote, passed by the democratically elected council, based on a survey of the market to whom the discount conglomerate hoped to serve from its generic box in a field.
Again. I live in Bath. Lidl is not ‘growth’ here.
@NicholasTyrone Really? Because I think it’s one of the stupidest tweets I’ve ever read.
If I even had such a passing thought, that remotely resembled such a shallow and base intellectual construct, I’d stop what I was doing and question whether I was suffering a stroke.
