@sra_solicitors Enough evidence of fraud to keep you in work for the next 20 years - about the length of time the Legal Aid Agency has been seriously mismanaging the Civil Legal Aid Scheme.
@sra_solicitors SRA. You should make a request for this Report. It is demonstrative of gross dereliction of duty by past and current senior managers in the Legal Aid Agency and is absolute dynamite.

Jason provided excellent quality legal consultancy for my practice. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. His level of customer service was excellent. I was always kept up-to-date, and my queries were answered very quickly. Thank you Jason!
No, thank you!
WOW @LegalAidAgency !
LAA Contract Managers now require providers to call in and advise them if any Crime Duty Solicitors are off ill.
Not sure how this builds provider trust and moves away from micro management? Contract Managers must have better things to do with their time?
It's largely an MoJ HR problem. I tried to get it investigated by the Permanent Secretary's Office on advice of a Senior Civil Servant working for the Prisons Department but was given the silent treatment. See also Marsh v MoJ.
Bullying is a problem in the Legal Aid Agency, an Executive Agency of the MoJ. The Agency's Contract Management and Assurance function has produced disturbing Staff Survey results on the issue two years and running - but no investigation appears to have taken place.
@TLClegals@LawstopUK As someone who frequently challenges their constant inconsistent and unfair decisions that effect us or our Clients we totally support such action against The LAA
We have been in the High Court today challenging the Legal Aid Agency's refusal to allow us to open both housing and community care files for the same client. Our lovely staff joined in to help raise awareness of this crucial issue. We will update once judgment is received.
#LegalAid "is only working because we [who provide it] are subsidising it in one way or another."
This should never have been the case, and is now nearing collapse. This is what the civil legal aid review should address, urgently! @LegalAidAgency@MoJGovUK@DominicRaab
It is 1st March 2023.
Still no @LegalAidAgency New Year Civil Tender for all the new applicants (and current) excluded for nearly 6-years while legal aid service provision nose dives.

Latest on wasted professional indemnity insurance premiums issue Consultants are now contacting affected Providers. I don't agree with Ian because I cannot see that an unwritten opinion can be official information. The possible implications of the finding, if any, remain unknown.
In a series of private emails from 4 Feb 2022 I opined that the LAA's Crime Tender was likely void for lack of transparency. Senior MOJ manager @ianblakeman66 confirmed yesterday that that is "official information" and thus fact. Upcoming tenders also affected by the ruling.
