I’ve read 4 @veschwab books this summer and just bought another yesterday🤩🥰
I haven’t had an author crush in what feels like forever lol I have so much respect for these stories!
(And so much gratitude toward them for getting me back into a reading mood)
They had my attention since I first read them. It’s been so exciting seeing these pieces evolve through the submission, copyediting, and proofreading stages!
Email [email protected] to grab YOUR @The_BrokenPlate issue and discover your favorite pieces too!!📖🤩
#TBP2021

Some pieces I’m super excited about in this issue are “Something Sweeter” by Rebekah Hoffer, “The Man Not Taken” by Nancy Wick, and “All That Glitters” by Emily Turner.

Contributor copies are being prepped to be sent out, but if you're not a contributor you can still get your hands on this year's issue.
10 FREE copies of the journal are currently hidden around campus, can you find them?
In case you missed it we are searching for 1000 words! Will Maclean signed 1000 copies of his book The Apparition Phase & in each copy he wrote 1 word. Put together these 1000 words make a story.
Twitter please help to find the 1000 words! Please Retweet

@nicolerthomas22 Which book are you most excited to read over break?
I’ve been looking forward to reading “The Renaissance Soul” by Margaret Lobenstine.
How’s everyone’s 2020 #ReadingChallenge looking??
For the past couple of years, my goal has been 30 books. I think this might be the first year in a while I might not finish that goal — but still planning to read a lot over break anyway!!
Need some inspiration to finish up your #ReadingChallenge before the year is over? We suggest taking a look at @TIME's 100 must-read books of 2020 to get you started: https://t.co/3i1D4AzXJO
More and more often my inspiration comes from the most random things now! I have so many notes on my phone of ideas that have come to my mind randomly as I go about my day.
#writing
On that note though, as weird as some sources of inspiration may seem, I don’t think there’s ever a such thing as bad inspiration or bad ideas. If something gets you writing, inherently I think that’s a good thing. Not everything has to be perfect and deep and meaningful
Submission ratings are finally in after @helmer_emily & I's weekly zoom call! Excited to see which non-fiction pieces we'll get to look at for final consideration for @The_BrokenPlate publication in the spring.
