The community is waiting for answers. Here is the 'Southern Alberta Express' proposal that is currently sitting in Logan Boyd’s inbox. Why the silence?
Flames lined Highway 97 as residents evacuated British Columbia's Okanagan region, where the Bald Range wildfire has forced around 20,000 people from their homes.
UPDATE: BC has just declared a State of Provincial Emergency.
This declaration is made on the advice of emergency management officials, who say they may require the powers at a moment's notice. These powers include local travel restrictions and commandeering accommodations in order to support evacuees.
At this time we are asking everyone to avoid travel to the South Okanagan.
Thank you again to the heroic wildfire personnel, whose heroic efforts and quick response to this aggressive fire, certainly saved lives.
This fire continues to pose a significant risk. Please follow the direction of Emergency Management BC - if you are told to evacuate, do it immediately.
My thoughts continue to be with with everyone impacted by these fires.
Stay safe and keep taking care of each other. Together, we'll get through this.

The damage just keeps going. Nothing but leveled homes as far as the eye can see right now in the Indian Trail neighborhood.
It’s hard to put into words the amount of destruction that we’re seeing right now.
