Liftoff.
The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.
Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.
50 years later… we’re trying again!!
Artemis II launches today.
First time since 1972 we’re sending humans beyond low Earth orbit.
No landing. Just a loop around the Moon and back.
This is the test that decides if NASA is actually back.
SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran was aiming to become the next North Korea, except run by radical Shia clerics with intercontinental missiles that could reach the U.S.
That’s what would have been achieved had President Trump not taken the steps he did.
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 U.S. Launches $141 Billion Overhaul of Nuclear Forces.
The United States has begun the next stage of modernizing its nuclear arsenal with the construction of the first prototype silo for the LGM-35A Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile in Utah. The program is designed to fully replace the aging Minuteman III missiles, which have been in service for decades.
Unlike earlier plans to update existing silos, the Pentagon opted to build new launch facilities from scratch, using digital design and modular construction to speed up deployment and reduce risk. Around 450 silos are planned across the Great Plains, accompanied by an upgraded control system that replaces old copper lines with fiber-optic communications.
The existing Minuteman III missiles will remain active during the transition to ensure continuous nuclear deterrence. In parallel, the new W87-1 nuclear warhead is under development, marking a complete reboot of the U.S. nuclear infrastructure.
The program, initially estimated at $77.7 billion, now carries a price tag of about $141 billion, yet the Pentagon has deemed it critical to national security.
