QCI-NABL conducted a Gunvatta Yatra awareness program on NABL accreditation of biobanks as per ISO 20387:2018 on 23rd July, 2025 at Manipal Institute of Virology, MAHE, Manipal. This program aimed to spread awareness about NABL accreditation and its benefits for Biobanks.
Mr. Pankaj Johri, Director, NABL has explained the gathering about NABL, and briefed the gathering on requirements of the ISO 20387 and interacted with the participants and resolved their queries related to NABL policies and implementation of the same.
Mr. Bindu Madhav Yenigalla, Assistant Director, NABL has explained about the accreditation process and applicable documents.
Dr. Christopher Sudhakar, Director - Quality, MAHE and Dr. Chiranjay Mukhopadhyay Director, Manipal Institute of Virology, MAHE were present during the inaugural session.
The program is attended by around 40 participants from various institutes of the region to learn and enrich their understanding and awareness on the standard.
