@michaelsobrien Point 2: The best team in the state, ESL, was a public school. Geneva, Batavia, York were all more than competitive in their championship games. Focus on what those programs accomplished because it was pretty amazing, even though it did not result in a championship.
@michaelsobrien Point 1: Why is the “system” broken? The objective shouldn’t be to create a system which allows a public (or private) school to win a championship. The private schools that won championships, and have rich traditions (MC, Loyola, JCA, Naz) should be appreciated.
@NDSUfootball Great game. Question, if you’re going to take a knee to end the game and go to OT, why would you risk a muff by having your punt returner fair catch the ball with 15 seconds left?
@barstoolchicago While Chicago is losing 50 residents per day, Nashville is adding nearly 100. Given the continued annual losses this move appears to be supported financially and demographically. Last year’s in-park shooting incident certainly doesn’t add to the appeal of the status quo.
@michaelsobrien Rochester coach is spot on. Where was this discussion when Batavia blew out Brother Rice in a running clock in rd 1? Loyola was challenged by York and LWE. CPS may be the one’s with a real beef, they lose their top talent to the CLL. They went 0-22 in round 1 of the playoffs.
@17NickHill Although he was in the opposite side of the field against my son’s team, I always thought Coach Hill did things the right way, nothing but respect. Saluki nation is lucky to have this guy. He has built an impressive program.
