Big thanks to @kooshiar and @danvahdat of @HumaForHealth for bringing together Persian innovators of #London tonight👌

We’re open-sourcing a lightweight preview of our router that sends queries to either GPT-3.5 or GPT-4, maximizing accuracy while drastically reducing costs and latency. Routing to Gemini, Mistral, Claude, and Llama coming soon. A few quick points:
All the jokes about OpenAI killing startups with each new release have some validity.
We just removed Pinecone and Langchain from our codebase lowering our monthly fees and removing a lot of complexity.
New Assistants API is fantastic ✨
We dug into a paper that’s been misinterpreted as saying GPT-4 has gotten worse. The paper shows behavior change, not capability decrease. And there's a problem with the evaluation—on 1 task, we think the authors mistook mimicry for reasoning.

Long term (~30yrs+) we’re headed towards a post work society. This will be a seismic transition.
What would you do all day if you didn’t have to work full time?
Great talk by @mmbronstein on Graph neural networks and message passing architectures and their unique characteristic used for protein design.
If you think GNNs are only used in recommender and social network systems, you might be wrong..
How Britain can become an AI superpower? @raais
Last week's AI highlight.
A great networking opportunity for connecting with top academics, industry leaders and innovators in #ArtificialIntelligence#raais2023#London
Last week's highlight #rustnationuk
Was great to catchup with #RISCV community and old folks from Uni Manchester, deploy a rust based OS on a tiny #RPi called Tock OS.
After working on couple of AI projects in healthcare, I realise how crucial is patent feedback for imporving services.
My unfortunate bike accident took me to Whittington hospital yesteday. Although it was a busy weekend, I was visited by a GP and x-rayed in less than 10 min #NHS
Using #ChatGpt for high-level synthesis of C code.
Please if you're interested DM me.
I have loads of data points for fine tuning.
Using #LLMs as compilers
Amazing projects came out of @scale_AI hosted #AI hackathon but sadly I don't see any contribution from the #hardware community.
LLMs are able to generate hardware code too! (see below).
Looking forward to more contributions from hardware/software co-design students #GPT
Last week, @scale_AI hosted a Generative AI hackathon.
It was the purest expression of builder energy, and an omen that the dark days of tech stagnation are over.
Roughly ~300 hackers converged @ our office in SF, and a day full of frenzy ensued
🧵 of cool things that happened
Where does this "self-sabotage and squander effort" stems from where average salary for a ML engineer is ~100k 🤔
As a consultant I have been dealing with this effect of "half the effectiveness" with large corporates. #meta
