This morning, I had the honor of holding a press conference to officially rename Mellow Meadows in memory of Officer Justin Putnam, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty in San Marcos. A proud Westwood High School graduate, Justin’s bravery and commitment will never be forgotten. #ATXCouncil
Operation Blue Santa is well underway, working to ensure approximately 14,000 children receive gifts this holiday season, as well as food cards for around 5,200 families. Join us at these locations on December 14 to deliver the gifts.

Today we honor Senior Police Officer Jorge "George" Pastore. Officer Pastore died heroically while responding to a domestic violence call. He was killed by a suspect who opened fire on police when they attempted to rescue victims held hostage.
