@thetransitagend it really is, not to mention we’ve seen a whole lot of service hours cut too along with frequency cuts so that doesn’t help. One can hope for more funding in the future 😭

@FlaavoredSnacks @rpmm24 yeah they’re pretty good (but I’ve only experienced the battery electric ones on the Connect 1). I always forget Racine and Kenosha used to operate primarily with nova buses in the 90s and 2000s (RTSs too)

@rpmm24 the 5100-5300 (d40lfrs) retired fully back in March and the 5400s are being actively retried (only about 20 or so left in service). But we still have the 5500-5800 series which are xcelsiors but they probably will be fully retired by the end of the decade

@rpmm24 idk I feel like it’s a 50/50 to blame on the person recording and the bus driver. She should’ve waved the bus down or walk towards it instead of just waiting and doing nothing. But I feel like the driver definitely should’ve stopped nonetheless to see if they want to get on

in the bitter cold you can at least prevent any health related risks by dressing appropriately but in extreme heat, wearing very light clothing and drinking lots of water usually isn’t enough to cool you down which makes it so much more dangerous
