On October 1st, 1949, the People's Republic of China was established.

For 77 years, the Communist Party of China has led an unparalleled society-wide transformation. Once a poor country ruled by feudal lords, ruthlessly plundered and exploited by foreign powers, the Chinese people have thrown off their chains and built a flourishing country that leads the world in many respects, from poverty alleviation to the development of advanced technologies.

Indeed, as Mao Zedong once said, the Chinese people have stood up. On the 77th anniversary of the Chinese revolution's victory, we salute the Communist Party of China and their achievements in building the kind of society that the workers and oppressed of the world can look to with hope.

U.S. fuel prices - especially diesel, a key resource across almost all major industries - are continuing to climb since the beginning of Trump's criminal war on Iran. Iranian school children have been massacred, civil infrastructure destroyed, all while the cost-of-living crisis is only worsening for the people of the United States; this failing war needs to end.

The situation we see playing out is a clear example of what we mean when we say U.S. imperialism is a dying, failing system, which we urgently need to replace. What we need is socialism, a system which puts the needs of the people first, not the profits of oil CEOs.

LAST NIGHT: FRSO joined protests in Austin TX after ICE agents shot yet another person. On Sunday, Wilber Rafael Garcés Perez was pulled over in a racially profiled traffic stop when ICE shot him in the back.

The U.S. empire is in decline, and the decline is picking up speed. People can't afford their basic needs, while the ultra-rich have never been richer. Our government is committing war crimes across the globe. Immigrant families are being torn apart, terrorized, left to rot in detention centers, and even deported to countries they've never set foot in.

These are not just temporary problems of a system that just needs some tweaks. They're the natural output of an unjust, rotten system called capitalism, which will never put the needs of the many before corporate greed.

On August 11 the FBI visited an Orlando activist, asking questions about Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and its leadership. It’s clear that this is a part of a pattern of ongoing state repression that began in 2010, when more than 70 FBI agents took part in a series of coordinated raids that were aimed at activists of the anti-war international solidarity movements, and also members of FRSO.
