@MichaelAlaiaMD Defender usually behind the player he’s tackling, drops hips and full body-weight to the ground to stop the runner. Problem is that it frequently results in the player landing on the ball carrier’s leg/ankle. HA sprain common, FX dislocation more devastating, extreme version.
Roughly 1 out of 10 people end up with kneeling pain 2 years after ACL-PTG surgery. Wish we’d stop using this as an excuse to use other graft choices. My patient’s don’t get AKP and the subsequent kneeling pain is relatively rare. https://t.co/auK2mFN5Ta
