MEMA, in coordination with @FWC26Boston, facilitated a tabletop exercise today at @GilletteStadium in Foxborough to practice the use of the Executive Decision Group format ahead of this summer's tournament.
Public safety colleagues from local, state, and federal agencies joined the exercise to collaborate on plausible scenarios and ensure the necessary Executive Decision Group agencies are coordinated during World Cup activities in June and July.
Thank you to all the organizations who participated in today's exercise. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnerships to ensure a safe and successful World Cup experience for all Massachusetts residents and visitors.
While it doesn’t seem it now, the 2026 Boston Marathon will be here before we know it. Today we joined our local and state partners at the first public safety meeting at MEMA to kick off the planning for April’s race. #ReadyBoston
