For the first time, Ethiopia is playing Egypt’s game. Every Egyptian official has mocked Ethiopia for the last 14 years.
Ethiopia quietly finished the GERD. Now it’s time for the ragebait 😂 Bro is saying Egypt should pay us. Yeah, correct ✅
🇪🇹Why Should Egypt Pay Ethiopia for Abay Waters?
Former Water Minister Shiferaw Jarso is calling on Ethiopia to press Egypt for compensation over its use of Abay (Nile) water resources, stressing that Ethiopia contributes about 86% of the river’s flow.
#Ethiopia#GERD
@EladlySami From your response, it’s easy to see why Egypt remains the poorest Arab nation full of empty pride. Yet dependent on the UAE & KSA for its foreign currency reserves 😂
@EladlySami Yes, it fixed much of the problem.
In the 2025-26 Ethiopian fiscal year:
1. Total electricity generation: 35,600.99 GWh
2. GERD produced: 18,372 GWh
3 GERD’s share: 51.5% of Ethiopia’s total generation
@EladlySami As we speak, GERD accounts for roughly 50% of Ethiopia’s total electricity generation. But since you guys are so delusional, I don’t expect you to know much about Ethiopia or GERD 🇪🇹😂
Ethiopia has submitted an official bid to host the 2028 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon). The country's football federation (EFF) says its government-backed proposal affirms "the nation's full readiness to host Africa's biggest footballing event". https://t.co/AqKm5voRh3
Not a huge fan of his politics. But on this issue, I respected him for not stealing from the poor. Whatever it is, his kids will not be called የ ሌባ ልጆች. As a father, this should make him proud. Walking away from Ethiopian politics without a fortune is a good thing
@ETHDagmawi The problem is Addis expanded into Oromo regions with inadequate farmer compensation under Ethiopia’s land policy. Addis generates 30–35% of national GDP. A small contribution to a new capital would barely affect it & serve as one form of reconciliation
Win-Win Solution? All 14 regions, including Addis & Dire should contribute billions to develop Sheger City as Oromia’s new capital. Oromia’s leadership must move there. Addis is not exclusively owned by one ethnic group, there’s no legal or historical basis for that claim!
@Tikur80s Calm down. Whether it has been erased or not is pure speculation. Where is the actual decision of the commission? Where can we get the official statement from the commission or the gov’t?
Typical Ethiopian politics. You hear endless talk about the commission. But you can’t find a single official document on what they actually decided. The majority of Ethiopians are left completely blindfolded

The peaceful conclusion of the National Dialogue Conference last night marks an important milestone in Ethiopia’s journey toward peace, and national consensus.
After more than a month of deliberations, thousands of delegates chose dialogue over confrontation.
This is the beginning of a new culture where peaceful engagement becomes the preferred way of resolving differences.
Ethiopia’s experience can offer hope to Africa and the world, even where divisions run deep, dialogue can open the path to peace and a shared future.
For the first time in years, I am observing people from every corner of Ethiopia Somali, Afar, Amhara, Sidama, Harar.. setting aside their political differences to oppose the idea that Addis Ababa should be exclusively owned by one ethnic group
If Addis Ababa is allowed to serve as the seat of the Oromia Region, then Dire Dawa should likewise be recognized as the seat of the Somali Region. The Prosperity Party’s National Dialogue Conference favors only one ethnic group and should therefore be rejected.
Watching your hometown being bombed is the worst feeling of all. I know we lived through that terrible experience in 2020 suffering, death, displacement, and killings happening live. I hope we never have to go back to that again. I pray we dont.
#Tigray: 13 wounded in Mekelle drone strike, hospital says
Thirteen people, including children, were admitted to Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital on Thursday after a drone strike hit a residential area in Mekelle, Tigray according to a statement from @ayder_hospital
Jawar is likely right on this point. His only real weakness is his ego. He refused to admit that ቄሮ was run by OPDO intell cell.
Jawar was merely the public face, with zero actual control. He still cannot admit this, because his ego will not allow it
The GERD reservoir is more than three times the size of Addis Ababa. You could fit three Addis Ababas inside the GERD reservoir and still have space left. 🇪🇹 The region never claimed exclusive ownership of GERD or any special interest in it
@BMLenjiso Oromia and Addis Ababa alone make up 65%–70% of Ethiopia’s entire GDP. But sure, let's listen to you taking about "diversity" and "justice" while you backs a system that hands over 70% of the national economy to one ethnic group. And yeah you works at federal level 🤦♂️
In a totalitarian state like PFDJ's Eritrea, a poor man begging for one piece of bread is seen as a betrayal of the state and the image of Eritrea as a utopian self reliant society.
Prime example of the disconnect between diaspora Eritreans and those living/suffering in Eritrea.
