🚨Incredibly proud of our multi-specialty surgical teams @WestHertsNHS for surpassing 400 robotic surgeries using @CMRSurgical Versius. 🎂🎉 We have performed over 50 robotic colorectal resections using @IntuitiveSurg Da Vinci Xi, only four months after taking delivery. 🦾🦾. The specialist trainees are thrilled to have multi-platform training as console surgeons. ❤️ Our first cases are underway using our newly recruited robots @PROCEPTRobotics Aquabeam and @SmithandNephew CORI, offering more patients the benefits of robotic assisted surgery. The dedication, skill, and teamwork of our clinical and non-clinical teams continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in the #NHS. 🚨Twenty months ago I performed @WestHertsNHS's first robotic-assisted surgery with #Versius, and our multi-speciality RAS programme has exceeded 340 cases with our two @CMRSurgical robotic systems. 🤖 Today we welcomed @IntuitiveSurg to join our RAS programme. Our #DaVinciXi has been delivered and training on our third robotic system is underway. 🦾 Our multi-platform RAS programme will bring the benefits of RAS to even more patients and our training console will allow us to offer multi-platform training for our trainees soon. @WestHertsNHS is leading by example by delivering RAS and RAS training safely and swiftly. It was a pleasure to share our experience @WestHertsNHS of our mentorship programme for robotic surgical training for trainees from ST4 level and upwards. It can be done safely and swiftly with the right #leadership and #teamwork. I am pleased that @Dukes_Club led by @LillianReza, @charlotte_e_25 and @Taner_Shakir have robotic training at the forefront of their agenda and they will play a pivotal role in helping to navigate the current disruption in colorectal training.
