It was not worth my time, though I could probably have done year 2 much faster.

Ultimately, we as physicians spend our time maintaining our knowledge in our areas of expertise, not in IRS code. One law change->audit->back taxes

@IvTlo @nosmokenomore Many states (I am in IL) have rules that require care providers with other doctorates besides MD, DO, or MBBS to clarify they are not "medical doctors" because they are not. In a healthcare setting it is confusing for patients.

@olsonplanner I'd be willing to bet a majority of residents in the US make more than $15 an hour (mine are 22-23/h), though it depends on market. I think your message/intent is positive, but I see many posts like this that just stoke the negativity around graduate medical education in the US.

@HofkampMichael @SEAnesHQ Someone said to me if you're not using ChatGPT, or other generative AI, to write your personal statements you're not trying hard enough. I still struggle to reconcile the fact that if you replace 'ChatGPT' with any human name and don't give credit it's called plagiarism.
