I’m right where I’m supposed to be doing what’s necessary. 🙂↔️🩷👩🏾💻
Dear Lord,
Today, help me stop rushing past the life You gave me because I’m busy reaching for the next thing. Let me enjoy my food, talk without racing, laugh without checking the clock, and notice the small blessings trying to get my attention. If hurry tries to steal my day, make it leave empty-handed. In Jesus’ name. Amen🙏🏽

Beautiful gesture to honor the greatest of all time in the city where she first began to play tennis on the community’s public courts.
Long live the legend.

Fernando Mendoza just became the #1 pick in the NFL draft. He knew it was coming. And instead of celebrating, he got to work.
Before he was officially hired by the Las Vegas Raiders, Mendoza was already working independently with former NFL quarterback Brian Griese to learn the new coaching staff's offensive playbook. He wanted a head start on the learning curve most rookie quarterbacks spend their entire first season navigating.
That approach didn't come out of nowhere. Mendoza spent his college summers interning at commercial real estate and investment firms. He studied business. He keeps exactly one social media app on his phone — LinkedIn. He treats football like a corporate career because, to him, that's exactly what it is.
At the NFL scouting combine, he told the Wall Street Journal: "Right now I'm unemployed. I have no job. I'm just trying to do everything to hopefully get employed April 23rd."
The #1 overall draft pick framing himself as a job candidate who still had something to prove.
The lesson applies well beyond sports. The candidates who stand out aren't the ones who wait for the offer letter to start learning the role. They're the ones who show up already knowing the playbook — because they started studying before anyone asked them to.
