📺Thank you for joining us at last night’s #CareersEvent2026.
Hosted by SAIIA and @KAS_PolDiSSA, the event inspired enthusiastic debate and engagement.
The programme opened with remarks from Elizabeth Sidiropoulos (@Siderop) and Dr Holger Dix, followed by a keynote address from Dr Ekemini Eyita-Okon.
💡 An interactive panel featuring Amahle-Imvelo Jaxa, @cy_chigwenya, @MMonyani, Raymond Matlala and @psiyothula encouraged students to build hybrid skills, develop portfolios beyond their academic transcripts, remain radically curious, network with purpose and embrace flexible career paths.

Bridge over troubled waters
In Ethiopia & Kenya, pilot countries for the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework, the chasm between policy & practice for #migration governance & rule of law remains strong. 🇰🇪🇪🇹
Recent report by our @issafrica partners:
https://t.co/KrHG45lm6q
Senior migration researcher at the Institute for Security Studies Margaret Monyani says although migration has become a thorny issue in Africa, it's a normal phenomenon. This as Kenya and Ethiopia face big migration challenges, including security.

Kenya and Ethiopia’s approach to #MigrationGovernance could set the bar for countries in the Horn – but first they must improve their own policies.
