@MN4Inclusion@NDRNadvocates 8 months later they're still trying to place me when all I want to do is go back home. Just need my hours approve therefore I can hire Once I know my budget. That's still Not happened. My next court case for the guardianship removal is coming soon. This is reality unjustified

Some of these same PwD forced into placements worked side by side with our Governor’s office, P&A, local advocacy groups for years. They were ur colleagues now in forced placements against their will along with tens of thousands more. Murphy Vs. Harpstead is a punch in a gut
@NDRNadvocates @MarleneSallow Murphy Vs. Harpstead is an ongoing case and MN’s disabled citizens in 900 pages objected to the DBLC’s settlement as tens of thousands continue to die & be forced into placements against their will! #Murphy Vs Harpstead Settlement is #NotAWin for MN.
Today, we remember those disabled people killed by care givers and family members.
Ableist violence is real and persists.
Ableist violence is still excused and condoned.
It must end.
We will not forget.

@jessicalacher1@amyklobuchar There are plenty of homecare workers and plenty of licensed nurses. None are willing to provide cares for less than market wages, benefits, retirement etc.
MNWRAC waiver system provides funding/services based on participant location instead of life- sustaining prescribed DB need-forcing thousands of MN’s into institutional, congregate settings against their will. #Discrimination#DisabilityMN@ChrisSerres@MnOlmstead@HHSGov
This settlement does NOTHING to prevent forced congregate placements. Housing Access Coordination is already offered and already exists. #NotAWIN disabled Minnesotans need full cares funded in order to stay at home.
@IT_Guru74@SchoolingDiana@Lutecia11XY $14/hr in MN. Yet the media continually falsely reports Mpls as top city in the nation to live because the state has good medical care able-bodied citizens that cannot be accessed by disabled. Many losing limbs & dying as a result of catastrophic homecare crisis @wallethub
@WCCO @AllenWCCO The $5 pay increase will be slowly implemented course of 2 years. By 2025 $20/hr worth less than today. Homecare nurses required to have RN degree/licensure + ongoing certifications. They’re paid $27/hr while colleagues paid $100/hr in hospitals with new 30% bargaining contract.
@WCCO @AllenWCCO There are NO homecare nurses yet Waiver Reimgime changes cut nursing level participants budgets by 75% forcing tens of thousands of disabled MN’s into hospitals. National Guard already send in to assist nursing homes. Waiver Reimagine exasperates the homecare catastrophe
How MN medical kidnappings and appointed guardianship of disabled children works: In 3/2022 This advocate observed this minor MN resident with severe Autism. Teen was healthy 15 yr old 160 lb teen experiencing Severe Autism episodes & suspected PANDAS-related Encephalitis.
Instead of supporting families and PwD the MN model forces institutional congregate placements in violation of Federal Olmstead Laws. If you have been forced into placement against your will please contact us.#WeAreOlmstead#WeAreTheSimilatlySituated#DisabilityMN#FreeBritney
Parents desperately want the child home. They need increased services with highly qualified 2:1 staffing ratio to keep him home. MN will not increase the budget to allow this. Instead Hennepin County building new residential home at the cost of $3000/day to MN taxpayers.
Teen was refused a Guardian Ad Litem because he has Communication challenges. Court DENIED ADA ACCOMMODATION requests to find a specialist to help interpret his wishes despite his Age of 15!
Dad loses job as he’s unable to secure staffing at $15-20/hr. Mind you the parents successfully raised eldest children currently attending Uni. Child continues to have episodes. No crisis home can manage his behaviors
Court initiates emergency proceedings behind parents back- attempts to send the child out of state without any due process hearings. No state accepted case so he remained hospitalized. Then Hospital released to Dad’s home but Dad unable to keep staffing due to low PCA wages.
