#WaiverReimagine budgets cuts = anti-Olmstead - anti- ADA. Reducing homecare budgets, pay, hours, capping weekly hours, or any limiting policies that place participants at risk for placement violate ADA https://t.co/FN1vDUWz64 #PleaseHelp#MN_SOS@accesspress@CivilRights@CMS
@MN4Inclusion@NDRNadvocates 8 months later they're still trying to place me when all I want to do is go back home. Just need my hours approve therefore I can hire Once I know my budget. That's still Not happened. My next court case for the guardianship removal is coming soon. This is reality unjustified
Some of these same PwD forced into placements worked side by side with our Governor’s office, P&A, local advocacy groups for years. They were ur colleagues now in forced placements against their will along with tens of thousands more. Murphy Vs. Harpstead is a punch in a gut
Please stop this political game awarding agencies that agencies while they’re TOTALLY FAILING us while MN’s with disabilities face fully preventable placements and deaths right in front of our eyes. #OlmsteadComplianceNow#WeAreOlmstead #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs#DisabledAndHere
Meanwhile Minnesota’s fiercest, highly experienced & educated DB advocates that successfully lived in their own homes & managed their own cares for 20+ years continue to be forced into 600 sq ft congregate placements with 5 other ppl, neglected, left septic & fighting 4 their life
@NDRNadvocates @MarleneSallow Murphy Vs. Harpstead is an ongoing case and MN’s disabled citizens in 900 pages objected to the DBLC’s settlement as tens of thousands continue to die & be forced into placements against their will! #Murphy Vs Harpstead Settlement is #NotAWin for MN.

The housing access coordination program they settled on has already existed under a different name for many years and did/does absolutely zilch to prevent forced placements in violation of Olmstead.
4 MN’s w/ DB, relative caregivers, local advocates that dedicated their lives only 2 move 30 yrs backwards. MN had highest #Covid deaths in congregate facilities nationwide! MN’s losing limbs, dying by the dozen

Today, we remember those disabled people killed by care givers and family members.
Ableist violence is real and persists.
Ableist violence is still excused and condoned.
It must end.
We will not forget.
