“My falls have taught me 100 times more than any of my achievements ever have, ever could and ever will. I owe 100 percent of my accomplishments to taking smart risks and trusting myself.”

@MrLeonardKim If you don't "need a job" then why put your wife's business out like that? As if you're truly inconvenienced - just to brag about your accomplishments and ability to sustain. Some families are actually dealing w/ minimum wage and layoffs. Failed to read the room, much?
Dear recruiters:
It's not that you don't have a solid pipeline of applicants, it's that you are terrible with follow-up and securing top tier talent before they fly off to a team who moves faster.
One more thing 😂
I also have one of those squeaky clean All-Star LinkedIn profiles that I work really hard to maintain.
But guess what? People don't read and people don't care. If it's not on their applicant tracking system, it's meaningless to them lol. Ugh.
Don't complain about the lack of diversity on your team when you have entrepreneurial, Ivy League educated, well traveled candidates at your fingertips and you continuously fumble the ball.
I'm not a unicorn - HR teams are just purposefully skipping over candidates like us.
The number of people who wasted my time trying to recruit me just to drop the ball is also annoying. They found me via recommendations, LinkedIn keywords, etc. I always responded promptly + did my research. Then...silence.
Gotta drop the God-complex in HR like asap.
The sheer # of recruiters, talent leads, and even freelance clients (who owed me money) who "ghosted" me (hate that word) in 2018 is disgusting. They beg for help w/ filling roles+completing projects but a lot of them drop the ball when it's time to execute.
Do better in 2019.
Be reminded on this first day of the new year that you will see results in whatever you invest your time, energy, and money in. No need to ever be shocked by your harvest.

When I plan events in New York City, it's typically during #NYFW and it's typically suited to accommodate 10+ fashionable guests. So, I'm always looking for the latest private dining options. My rule is: if I wouldn't enjoy the venue for one of my persona…https://t.co/6wbMz9T1vJ
