I cannot believe I just had the opportunity to attend @sapirelm's dissertation defense. Her intelligence and dedication have been inspiring me for years, but today was on another level. Cheers to you and all the ways you will change your field for the better ๐
Bohemian rhapsody for postdocs:
Is this a real job?
Or more like a PhD?
Caught in short contracts
No chance of stability
Open your eyes
Look up to PIs and see
I'm just a postdoc
I get no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
Stress is high
Pay is low

@ProfSarahBerger As many misgivings as I have about birds, corvids are really cool. I'm always surprised by how smart they prove to be when given the opportunity.
I love doing research with infants, but I just asked an undergrad not to move around too much while collecting the EEG data and they actually did it. It was beautiful and so was the data.
