🏔️Despite efforts to save the glaciers of the Venezuelan Andes, their disappearance was inevitable. From 1952 to 2019, Venezuela lost 98% of its glaciers. Venezuela's entire glacier surface has now vanished.

@climatecal@MothersOutFront We hope so, but there's more to protecting clean air than just transitioning our energy sources. There are plenty of polluting industries that emit toxic contaminants that don't necessarily impact climate but do impact our health, like benzene, a known carcinogen but not a GHG.
